I arrived early for my hair appointment yesterday, so I decided to take a walk around the block instead of just standing on the steps at Ashira Salon. It was a lovely day, sunny but not too hot. Albany, which is just west of Berkeley, is full of charming Craftsman homes with equally charming gardens. The houses tend to have older wiring, older plumbing, and not enough bathrooms, but they sure are cute.
